The chairs:
Sitting next to each other on chairs, We had to move our partner’s positions with three movements, move their arm, leg, head etc into a different position, then staying in that position they would then move their partner three times. We did this a number of times and changed partners. We were given different characters to help us make the movements. Kali and Todd from Stockholm, then Henry Moliasion, Dr Jacopo, Dr Scoville…. This gave us a little more objective when moving our partner.
Making a game:
Silently, we created a game with rules, after we knew the rules of the game; we incorporated some text from the scenes that we performed yesterday.  Then once we knew the rules of the text  we changed the text… for example the text that Taz and I used was..
I will find my memory and You have no memory.
Once we knew when these lines came in, we changed them and muddled them up. So we said parts of the lines at different times during the game.  So mine and Taz’s piece ended up sounding like…
You
I
Memory
Will
No
I
Have
No
Memory
Find
My
You
This taught us a new way of devising and trying our new ideas. From the chair scene or from the games that were created, we could turn into a scene, or discover more about or character? And the relationships between some of the character?

  1. We also talked about ways in which we could get the audience from one part of the staging to another. Some ideas we had where:

A rope which guided the audience around. Each member of the audience would either have to hold onto the rope, or we discussed having wristbands that attach to the rope.

Creating some type of platform on wheels that could be moved easily so the audience wouldn't actually have to move themselves.

Using a sound of a bell to attract Henry and the audience. Henry would reveal that when he hears the bell, he can't help but follow the sound.

Using see through panels that would block off sections that we didnt want the audience to go into, this would have light from behind with somebody pointing the way to go.

Tell us what you think of the idea's are they viable.
