How memories are created.

Just found a site that explains the process of memories being created. It's a good website and takes you through all the different processes of creating a memory.

Here is a small snippet of the encoding section......

''Encoding is a biological event beginning with perception through the senses. The perceived sensations are decoded in the various sensory areas of the cortex, and then combined in thebrain’s hippocampus into one single experience. The hippocampus is then responsible for analyzing these inputs and ultimately deciding if they will be committed to long-term memory.
